Background
GC Aesthetics (GCA) is a global medical device company that manufactures breast implants.

While plastic surgeons were the company’s primary customers, patient awareness was becoming increasingly influential. More women were researching implant brands themselves and requesting specific options from their surgeons.
This shift created an opportunity to build a stronger emotional connection with patients—particularly those navigating breast cancer recovery.
Challenge
Although GC Aesthetics traditionally acknowledged Breast Cancer Awareness Month with at least one social media post, the company had never run a full patient-focused campaign.
The existing efforts leaned heavily toward product-centric communication rather than connecting with the lived experiences of women recovering from breast cancer.
The challenge was to create a meaningful, empathetic campaign that:
- Highlighted real patient stories
- Strengthened trust with women considering reconstruction
- Supported surgeons with credible, patient-driven content
- Reflected the brand’s care for women beyond the clinical aspect
- Created an emotional connection with surgeons and patients
